Grade what your site loads before anyone says yes.
TrackerGrade visits your page up to three times like a first-time visitor: before any click, after Reject, and after Accept. It writes down every tracker and cookie, checks that Reject really works, and weighs the third-party scripts you load. You get one letter grade and the points each fix earns back.

connect.facebook.net · 212 ms after load · loaded by your page template · sets _fbpBefore consentWhat it checks
Two audits, one scan.
Most sites have both problems at once: a marketing tag someone added last spring, and an old script nobody removed. One visit finds both.
Consent audit
What your site does before a visitor has chosen anything, and after they choose.
- Whether a banner appears, and whether Reject is as easy as Accept
- Whether Reject actually stops the trackers
- Every cookie, sorted into essential, functional, analytics and marketing
- Whether your cookie policy mentions the cookies we found
- Cookies we can't identify yet, listed as unclassified and never graded
- Which tool loaded each tracker, such as Google Tag Manager or your own page
Script weight
What you load, what it weighs, and how much of it runs.
- Your own code versus third-party code, by weight
- The share of each script's code that actually runs
- Scripts where under a fifth runs, flagged as mostly unused
- Your heaviest third-party vendors, with an estimated phone cost
- A projected grade if you fix the top three problems
How we scan
A polite visitor, not a crawler.
We load the page you enter, and the cookie policy it links to, and nothing else. No logins, no forms, no clicking through your checkout. A scan takes 10 to 30 seconds.
If the banner has no Reject or Accept button, that visit is skipped and the report says so. With no banner at all there is one visit.
Names, not values
We record cookie names, request addresses and sizes. We never store cookie values or anything typed into a form.
Says who it is
The scanner identifies itself as an automated browser, so your firewall can allow or block it. If we are blocked, the report says so and explains how to let us in.
Your call
Site owners can opt out. We stop scanning that domain before a browser even starts. Opt out.
From the US or Europe
Many sites only show a consent banner to visitors from Europe. Choose where the browser visits from, and the report says where it really ran.
How the grade works
One letter, every point shown.
The grade is 60% consent and 40% scripts, because a privacy problem costs more than a slow page. Every finding in a report shows what it cost, and every fix shows what it earns back.
Consent score 60% of the grade
Starts at 100.
- −6each tracker that fires before a choice
- −1each cookie set before a choice
- −8each tracker that keeps firing after Reject
- −10no Reject button on the first layer
- −5cookie policy doesn't mention cookies we found
- −30no banner, while trackers or cookies load without one
Script score 40% of the grade
Starts at 100.
- −1per 25 KB of third-party script where under a fifth of the code runs
- −1per 100 KB of third-party script beyond the first 100 KB
Consent tools, payment forms and code from your own domain are not counted. Phone time is shown but not graded, because it changes from run to run.
Every site is judged against the strictest common standard, opt-in before non-essential cookies. If your visitors are only where opt-out is enough, treat the consent score as stricter than required.

A scan shows what loads on your site. It isn't legal advice, and what the law requires depends on where your visitors are and what you collect. Reports are visible only to people who have the link.
