Consent snippet
Hold a tag until someone says yes.
Put this on your site. Scripts you mark stay inert until the visitor clicks Accept. Reject leaves them inert. The choice is a cookie on your site. TrackerGrade never hears it.
<script src="https://trackergrade.com/gate.js"></script>
<script type="text/plain" data-trackergrade src="https://example.com/tag.js"></script>
What it does
- Looks for
scripttags withtype="text/plain"anddata-trackergrade. Browsers do not run those. - Shows Accept and Reject until the visitor chooses. The choice is remembered for about six months.
- On Accept, turns those tags into real scripts. On Reject, leaves them as they are.
- Loads from https://trackergrade.com/gate.js and does not call back to TrackerGrade.
An inline tag works the same way. Put the code inside the tag instead of a src.
What it is not
It does not scan your site, block tags you forgot to mark, or decide what the law requires. A TrackerGrade report is still how you see what loads before a choice. This snippet only holds back the tags you point it at.
